This is a great gateway group for those who wish to learn and share rope bondage in a safe and fun environment. If you are curious we are a great place to start.
Both beginning and intermediate to advanced ties are shown at every meeting. We also focus on Peer rope practice and mentoring. While we enjoy many forms of bondage, So Cal Shibari’s primary focus is the techniques and philosophy of Nawa Shibari, or Kinbaku, the Erotic Rope Art of Japan. Expect a little John Willie at times though, and Bettie Page is welcome.
As Shibari is an erotic art, undress is often a part of the art. Casual dress that is close fitting is suggested or undress that is reasonable. As a business hosts us, G strings and pasties are requested if you want to feel rope on skin. The venue does sell both and other really nice toy and fetish ware at great prices.
So Cal Shibari is made up of all forms of sensual preference and expression. We would love to see more men in bondage. For meetings we ask a donation of $7 per individual or $10 per couple for attendees. We will turn no one away from education due to financial hardship. For those who do not have rope we do have a small supply you may borrow and use for the class.
